Q. What does D2C stand for?
A. Direct To Consumer
Q. Who is eligible to apply for D2C Disruptors Awards?
A. Any D2C company headquartered and operating in India is eligible to apply.
Q. Is there any nomination fee to apply for the award?
A. No. This in an editorial initiative and there is no fee involved.
Q. What are the categories of D2C Disruptors Awards?
A. There are total 17 awards including user choice award. For all the categories, please refer to categories section on the home page.
Q. Can I nominate for more than one award category?
A. You can apply as per the below guidelines:

Industry Awards
- You can apply either under 'Brands Under 5 years' or 'Brands Over 5 Years' as per the company incorporation date. Brands over 5 years (Incorporated on or before 30th June, 2017) Brands under 5 years (Incorporated on or after 1st July, 2017)
- You can only submit 1 entry each for | Beauty & Personal Care | Health & Wellness | Food & Beverages | Home & Lifestyle | Mom & Baby | Sports, Fitness & Tech Wearables
- Sustainable D2C Brand of the Year
- Product Innovation of the Year
- One Entry Per Organisation is allowed
- Jury Awards (This is not open for nominations. Jury will decide the winner for this category.)
- Tried & Loved - Smytten User Choice Award (The winner will be determined by the Smytten users, after successful digital product sampling of the nominated product.)
Q. Where can I find the full list of categories?
A. It is available on the home page.
Q. Do I have to answer all the questions on the application?
A. Yes, judges score your application based on each individual response to the questions you have answered, so it is important that you consider each question carefully and provide a detailed response. If a question does not apply to you, please put N/A in the box provided.

Q. Can I win more than one award?
A. Yes! If you are eligible as decided by the jury panel.
Q. What is the reward for winners?
A. The winners get recognised by Forbes India and will be featured across Forbes India media platforms. The winners will be presented with the custom plaque on stage presented by the guest of honour. The winners will also feature in a special episode on CNBC-TV18.
Q. What is the last date for the nominations?
A. Last date to apply for D2C Disruptors award is 23rd October, 2022.
Q. When will the award ceremony take place?
A. D2C Disruptors Awards ceremony will take place on 30th November, 2022 in New Delhi.
Q. Whether any boarding and lodging facilities are available for awardees?
A. Absolutely!
Q. Who is the process advisor?
A. EY (Ernst & Young) is the award process advisor.
Q. How are judges selected?
A. Judges who bring wealth of knowledge with them to evaluate the entries have been chosen from different spheres by Forbes India editorial team. Each one is asked to declare any interests they have such as former colleagues or employers so that the judging process is carried out fairly.
Q. What happens after I am done with submission?
A. Sit back and wait, in the meantime:
- Judges will review all submissions with process advisor team against the set criteria (if you've missed anything important, we'll contact you to clarify)
- Finalise the scores
- Let you know if you've been shortlisted
- Announce the shortlists on D2C Disruptors website and social media channels
- Announce the winners at the awards ceremony
Q. What happens if I win and am unable to attend the award ceremony?
A. If you have made the shortlist, the Forbes India team will make contact to find out if you are attending the awards ceremony. If you are unable to make it to the event, we will ask you to provide us with contact details of someone who could collect your award on your behalf, if you win.
Q. Will I receive feedback from submission?
A. No, feedback is not given on submissions.
Q. Is there a say or recommendation of Forbes India or Smytten in shortlisting or winning a D2C Disruptors Award?
A. No. Being shortlisted for or winning a D2C Disruptors award is not a recommendation by Forbes India or Smytten.
